“I KNEW I HAD FOUND MY PEOPLE”

SHIFTING TERRAINS WITH ANNIKA JAMES, THE MOST MULTI-FACETED GEM ON DISPLAY IN “THE GREAT DIVIDE”
3

One of the most important qualities that an actor requires is emotional accessibility. The gift of being unguarded, your inner workings exposed, so that the light of your soul shines through.

Today’s case in point is our own awesome Annika James, who was given the unique challenge of playing performance artist Andi Pandi. Andi’s the most freewheeling, unpredictable member of Grey McMann’s trust-funded traveling circus: a woman of a thousand fractured faces, only one of them truly her own.

I loved writing this multi-faceted role for Annika, giving her star a wide range of playful ways to shine. She owns every speck of it, delivering one of the most emotional performances in a movie that overflows with them. Totally holding her own. As I think you’ll see in this brief, lovely, open-hearted interview.
