“THERE’S JUST SOMETHING SO MAGICAL ABOUT WHEN FRIENDS COME TOGETHER TO PLAY”

THE ART OF BEING PRESENT WITH SAMANTHA MARIE COOK, ANOTHER SUPER-WARM STAR OF “THE GREAT DIVIDE”
1

Greetings with sweetly benign Ojai, California, as the last leg of this week’s journey comes to an end. I could write a whole essay on happiness, and probably will. But this morning, I’ve got another charming cast video to share!

Today’s delightful profile centers on Samantha Marie Cook, who plays Greer in The Great Divide. As the designated driver and designated friend to drunken daughter Quinn, she serves as the audience’s POV, flung headlong into the McMann family madness. As she takes it all in, we do as well. And it’s one of the film’s great joys.

I love working with Sam, cuz she’s so smart, so quick, soooo funny, and every bit as preternaturally present as the character she portrays. Her dynamic with Jesse Benefield, in particular, is the most authentically heartwarming thread in the whole film’s wildly-interwoven design. And I can’t wait for you to see her in action. ENJOY!!!
